Phases 2 & 3 Restoration Begins on the Left and Right Wings
第二、三期修復工程開工，左右護龍展開修復
The Phase 2 and 3 restoration of Meihe Shanzhuang broke ground on April 11, 2019, focusing on the inner and outer left and right wings (hu-long). The budget of roughly NT$70 million is funded about 60% by the Ministry of Culture, 35% by the Taoyuan City Government, and 5% by the owners, with completion targeted for August 2021.
The project aims to fully preserve Meihe Shanzhuang's original Qing-dynasty appearance. After completion, cultural heritage guided tours will be offered, and the left wing will continue to be revitalized under the "Street Corner Bookhouse" concept.
