"Meihe Shanzhuang Celebrates the New Year" Exhibition Opens
「梅鶴山莊過新年」特展開展，邀民眾走讀行春小徑
Organized by the Takoham Culture and Education Foundation, the "Meihe Shanzhuang Celebrates the New Year" exhibition runs from January 7 to March 28, 2021, at the Takoham Story House and the Kangzhuang Branch of the Taoyuan City Library.
Themed around the Lunar New Year, the exhibition invites visitors to follow in the footsteps of the Meihe Lin family and learn about the development history of Daxi's Touliao area through the family's festive memories.
One highlight is the "Spring Walk Path" (Xingchun Trail): clan elders recall that at daybreak on the first day of the Lunar New Year, thirty to forty family members would dress in new clothes and walk together to the local Tudigong temple, exchanging New Year greetings along the way. Visitors are encouraged to retrace this path in Touliao after seeing the exhibition, and to explore nearby sights such as Cihu and the Dajiaogong Historic Trail.
